Good books, films and poor, traumatic childhood

Good books and films are often born out of childhood traumas and poor family circumstances. Childhood is the background that forms the future worldview. It influences the ideas people create in their books and films and change a vision of the society, describing problems and troubles they faced before.

It is true that unique masterpieces can not appear just because of our will. A book or a film can change the mind until it destroys the old pictures in the head and create the renewed vision. It happens when the writer shows us the real situations that happened to him, pleasant or unpleasant, tragic or comedy. So, in many cases pictures from the poor childhood awake strong emotions which change the outlook completely.

The legenf of creative world can also become the lost happiness of childhood pictured like utopia. Everybody remembers the name of the cartoon’s king Walt Disney, but only few knows about his poor and troubled childhood. The whole empire was built on the broken joyness and happiness created by his father and poor family. That is why these outstandings in the media and literature world became popular among the childre  and became an integral part of their childhood imagination.

“Panem et circenses” is the desire of the audience when they expect a new masterpiece. However the pain and despair from the miserable childhood can evoque such feelings. People appriciate more the scenes and episodes where the character faces the troubles and should find a way of survival. Then, showing these background reallife elements from the chilhood experience writers create masterpieces and geniuses.

In conclusion, you can see that traumatic childhood formes the vision of the future life. The poor it was the better it influences the world. The unhappy episodes turn upside-down our mind that build a new world of understanding society. These masterpieces and geniuses help to see the life from different sides to make the definite picture of the world.

My Education

I do not remember very well early years of my education, because most of the time I was playing with friends, eating and sleeping, like a cat who was enjoying its life. The most memorable episode in my nursery school is my role of Snow-maiden in the matinee who was surrounded by singing and dancing Snowflakes. Summer was the time when children hanging the willow branch were jumping over an empty swimming pool, like tarzans. The rest of the time I was taught reading, writing and counting. So when I attended primary school I could read, write and count.

At the time I attended primary school I also went to the music and ballet school. Primary school was comprehensive and co-educational.

Ballet school was a good experience during 5 years, where I learnt a lot of different moves and names of that moves. Lessons with the pointes were the most favorite part. We were like dolls dancing in tutus who could throw up their leg over the head. I remember teachers abused us when we set on twine without warming-up or when we were doing something without it.

Music school was a different kind of art as ballet, but however I had a strong feeling of something sublime. There was another atmosphere, not like the others school had. People who worked there were generalists at all, especially my teacher who was a man of wide reading besides her specialty. She gave solid explanations and encourage for studying. Classes were divided into several parts: my piano classes, sol-fa and choir. Then sol-fa was divided in music literature and sol-fa as it was and additional subjects were added. I left seven years in that world of classic music.

After completing primary school I decided to change a place and go to the grammar school. So, I spent there my secondary school period. That was a time of great changes including environment, amount of work to be done, age changes and hard teenage time for parents. Educational system was organized very well there. Though as my class was a little different from others, we saw a head-teacher or  a principle more often then others from the beginning.

My high school was devoted to the preparation for external independent assessement in lyceum. There I had astronomy and classes of art culture, which were new for me.

The university time was a new stage, as for everybody, where I got acquainted with all-rounders and got a great amount of different emotions. So, I think this period is the most overloaded and saturated time.

If I could do it all again, would I do anything differently? No. I don’t see any reasons. If I want to change something then I should change everything.

Captain Phillips

“Captain Phillips” was premiered in 2013 year. This film combines few genres: biopic, drama, adaptation, crime, historical, thriller and action/adventure. The director is Paul Greengrass. It is a 134 minutes film. Writers: Billy Ray – screenplay, Richard Phillips and Stephan Talty – source material. Producers: Michael De Luca, Dana Brunetti, Scott Rudin. Cast: Tom Hanks – Captain Richard Phillips, Max Martini – SEAL Commanser, Barkhad Abdi – Muse, Barkhad Abdirahman – Bilal, Faysal Ahmed – Najee, Issak Farah Samatar – Hufan.

Captain Phillips is ordered to deliver the goods to Kenya. The way the crew must overcome lays through Somali waters, where there has been a capture of  vessels for the purpose of ransom recently. At the same time, Somali fishermen get an order to go out to sea immediately, seize the ship and bring a lot of money, or otherwise they will face troubles. Then they attack the crew: the first time seeing a threat captain keeps his head and is able to save the ship from danger. The second time he takes all methods to prevent seizure of the vessel, but the armed 4 pirate- fishermen, following the order and unbridled fear before the boss, eventually penetrate the ship. Demonstrating solidarity and resistance, the crew do not give up and use everything possible so that no one is hurt, but carrying responsibility for the people, the captain is held captive by the four somalis, where the major activities and psychological changes of characters take place. As a result, U.S. Forces seek captain’s release, by the cost of the lives of three pirates and arresting the leader, what fishermen feared the most of, which was one of the explanations for their desperate and purposeful action. The film “Captain Phillips” shows a real story, when in April 2009, Somali pirates are trying to seize the ship “MV Maersk Alabama”.

“Captain Phillips” is a film which firstly begin to lull by its incomprehensible trivial story in the beginning, but the actions become compelling very quietly and have a snowball effect. About 20 minutes after the start a breathtaking and at the same time a heavy picture discovers that keeps in suspense and absorbs you until the very end of the film, some people – up to the end of the subtitle. The movie stuns by its powerful drama and brilliant acting, because Tom Hanks who played the main character, specially has flown twice in Vermont to meet and mingle with the real captain Phillips. Though the film does not quite shows real events, as during capturing Captain Phillips did nothing to release, namely the chief mechanic Mike Perry did all those actions, non-professional acting of four Somalis gave the atmosphere of reality. I want to note them because being non-professional they played professionally and brought me closer to reality.

This film is worth your waste of time. The protagonist, Tom Hanks said that before he get most of the positive roles and said that avoids the negative, but he passed all the events through himself that gave the film a stunning effect. And yet knowingly an age limit “for children under 16 is not adviced” was input because “Captain Phillips” is primarily a psychological film, which shows a picture of both sides – the fearful pirates-fishermen before their boss who have the only way to survive – to capture vessels and have a fear of being judged by U.S. laws, as well as an experienced captain, who having a family takes the brunt of deciding to save the crew and negotiate with the enemy to avoid violence. It is worth to note an exquisite professionalism of Greengrass, who made some directorial tricks. All the actors who played the Somali pirates are amateurs wherein the true actors crew met their “enemies” directly during filming the capture of vessel. So this is a memorable film with a well thought-out plot. Have a good time!

The Seven Deadly Sins

“The Seven Deadly Sins”- one of the earliest well-known works of Bosch. It has a distinct moral character with elements of irony and satire. In my opinion, it is one of the clearest and most edifying works of Bosch, that comes with a detailed, explanatory image with quotations from the Old Testament book of “Deuteronomy”. Moreover this work was hung in the private apartments of the Spanish King Philip II  between his office and bedroom so that passing from room to room several times a day, the monarch could contemplate the symbols of human sins and meditate on the sinful nature of man. As I see, this piece of art has a rather complicated structure of five different diameter circles on a dark background. Suggest that this table cover is a countertop painted by master. Custom paint tables was then quite common.

In the center there  is a sort of an all-seeing eye. In the middle we see a sort of pupil, where in the thigh Christ is shown standing in the sarcophagus. Christ sees everything, he is in the world, he is at the center of Symbols eyes.  Below the inscription: “Beware, beware, God sees everything.”  This is not actually the eye, but  a clear allusion to it.

And finally, on the outside, a very broad band shows seven scenes that symbolize the seven deadly sins. Every sin is marked and labeled by the artist as interpreted  genre scenes.  Thus, Bosch creates a generalized picture of humanity, steeped in sin.

It is interesting to note here on what we are talking about traditional seven sins , although strictly speaking, it’s not a sin as acts – theft, murder, or other sinful acts of man. Seven deadly sins in the Catholic tradition are rather , seven properties in man , seven features of his character , which lead to these crimes and misdemeanors . Seven sins traditionally , as we know, confront the seven virtues . Three Christian religious  virtues four worldly . Bosch , depicting sins , does not appeal to abstract images. Bosch depicts  skits rather in the sense of life , but grotesque and caricature are shown by the  way of the image.

In the next life I’d like to be a cat. No obligations, no rules. You just eat and sleep. Moreover you are not along and there is always somebody who plays and entertains you. But among the wild animals I’d like to be a cheetah. This graceful cat is very different from other cats. Cheetah is different from most of the cats on a number of grounds, and these differences are significant. In appearance and anatomy of the body is similar to a dog than a cat, as well adapted to fast running. Furthermore, cheetah is a member of the cat family that has long legs and black spots on its fur and can run extremely fast, as it’s the fastest animal in the world. This animal has some special spots and lines on its face under the eyes and may seemed very sad and frustrated, so you will have a wish to pet and fondle this cat. And besides, cheetah can be easily tamed, it can be even trained. This predator has a mild and peaceable disposition. Cheetah quickly becomes accustomed to the owner and strongly attached to him.cheetah

Depending on the time of the year we experience a lot of different emotions.

In winter, for example, we are calm, gloomy, moody, peaceful and cold as snow that covers the ground. Our passions are dulled.

In summer, on the contrary, we are full of energy and feel the rush of emotions. We are young, we are full of longing, self-satisfied, merry and playful. This is not the time to be dull and exhausted, this is the time of overwhelmed and astonished feelings, the time of carelessness.

Spring is the season of love. We feel more lively and excited. Spring makes us active, enthusiastic and positive, because everything is waking up to begin a new circle.

Autumn is time for melancholy. It leads us to dejection, especially rainy weather, which makes us nervous, edgy and irritable, but at the same time pensive and thoughtful. Although in September, we are refreshed and relaxed after hot summer, but when it is closer to winter we are consumed by restless and frustrated feeling of cold.125662-3000x2000 14738671 200229640 1256024661krasota1 b243969c

Perfect woman

I met her when I was busy with work amid all the bustle of the office worms. As usually happens in large companies work a lot of people and you do not pay attention to them. But this girl impressed me with its queer naturalness. She was an unremarkable mouse that was not particularly following the fashion and wearing what she wanted, what distinguished her from others. Meek sight lost within office fashion models and greedy authoritative men, as I was. She was so awkward and at the same time so graceful, that was giving her silhouette a special shine. But when you come closer to this girl, you see a slightly disheveled hair and goofy eyes with a snub nose. And you do not know how this creation could work here. But it was a passionate, imaginative and creative person. I’ll tell you the reason. The most striking thing is that when she smiles and you see her uneven teeth, it is so nice that you want to smile back. Her charm had no limits. It was one of her main weapons. She was as if a magnet that attracts attention immediately and you already can not forget her. Her bulging forehead with wrinkles showed that she was obstinate and determined person.  Wrinkles around the eyes showed us that this was a cheerful person who had a wide sincere smile. Her little snub nose gave her a curious look. In general, at first sight, she came across as slob. But speaking to her you realize that this is a temperamental girl. Her movements are emotional and when you look into her eyes, you see that she is shrewd, cunning and insidious. She said almost nothing, but every word encouraged the desire to learn more about her. A lot of questions appeared in my head: what an amazingly strange person who attracts you? Although in fact she did nothing. She didn’t have to. Her a little bit ugly face and slightly clumsy actions made her unbearably charming. After all, when she smiled, she literally dragged out into her world. And you was following her, the smell of her disheveled, but soft and silky hair. Both the light and dark sides were inside her. But she knew when to show them. The intrigue was her passion. Imagination was her middle name. It was clear because of her legend (story), which she was creating around her image. And  that is why this angel and  demon in the flesh attracted my attention, a rational, self-confident man with his head up and vanity.
