Good books and films (geniuses and masterpieces) are often born out of childhood traumas and poor family circumstances

I agree with this statement especially after watching the film “Saving Mr. Banks”. The story of the film is connected with creation of the book “Mary Poppins”. The main characters are the author of the book Pamela Travers and Walt Disney.

In the early 1940s, Walt Disney had promised his daughters to create a film based on their favorite books about Mary Poppins. About 20 years, he tried to persuade the author of these books, the writer Pamela Travers, allow him to create a film about Mary Poppins, but it was impossible. Finally Disney achieves that Pamela Travers agrees to come to Los Angeles to watch their interpretation on the book.

Pamela Travers in future film project annoying everything: it requires radical changes in the script, complete lack of animation, as well as the language of the text correctly executed songs. In parallel with this storyline develops other film-related memories of Travers about her childhood spent in Australia, where her name was Helen Goff. She remembersher fatherTraversGoff and her mother – Margaret. Tender love of her father to the children combined with his infirmity and addiction to alcohol, which eventually leads to tragic consequences, to the death.Gradually it becomes clear the close relationship of the father image of the writer and one of the characters in her books – Mr. Bank. The father was for Pamela a perfect example of person which tries to get success in many ways, person which never gives up and all the time goes the whole hog. But the death of her father made a trauma on all her life. After many years she allows to create a film on her book. This film was a masterpiece, because Disney in this film tried to embody Pamela’s childhood memories, made everyone’s feel the same as the author.

My school memories

imagesI have a little recollection of my first days being at the kindergarten. I was there only several times and after a week I refused to go to kindergarten. I had an angry nursery-governess, which all the time screamed and scared and I really dislike her. But I also remember the positive moments, when I played with my friends and had fun. That was unforgettable.

When I was six, I went to the comprehensive school. I studied there five six years and had not an opportunity to blossom intellectually that is why I changed this school to grammar school. My new school was co-educational. The standard of teaching was extremely high and I had a lot of pleasure to study at grammar school for next six years. I interested in foreign languages and hated Maths, Chemistry and Physics because it was difficult for me to understand them. There I met my best friend with whom I have good relationship even now. We helped each other in our home task and both excelled academically. Many others envied our friendship and good report.

The end of the eleventh form came unexpectedly and we must to pass exams and prepare to our further life. At the age of 16, I passed all my exams with a B grade and I decided where to enter. I had two variants of faculties: the faculty of an interpreter and the faculty of foreign philology. My parents insisted me on the second variant and I do not regret this decision.

If I could do it all again, would I do anything differently?  I made the right decision regarding going to grammar school. If I were back at comprehensive school, I’d make more of an effort to be liked. I think that I’ll justify my parents’ decision and my future profession will connected with my education.

American Hustle

American Hustle is a crime film directed by David O. Russell. The film was released in 2013. It stars Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Bradley Cooper, Jeremy Renner and Jennifer Lawrence. This film is based on the FBI ABSCAM operation of the late 1970s and early ’80s. It received ten Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Original Screenplay. American Hustle won three Golden Globe Awards, the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture and is nominated for 10 BAFTA Awards.

The film is about the life one of the great con artist Irving Rosenfeld and his partner Sydney Prosser. Irving has a wife and a son. All his life he tries to protect his family, because this business is illegal and is connected with stolen art. Irving and Sydney are working together for a wild FBI agent, Richie Dimaso. Sydney works under the fake name: Edith Greensly. Carmine Polito is a Major, powerful person in the state of New Jersey, also involves in these deals with a fake art. The group of three FBI agents want to arrest congressmen and the great organization of Mr. Tellegio for bribing and outbidding of stolen items.

The plot twists are brilliant with a simple storyline and a fair number of stars and happy ending. There are many dazzling moments. The film is rather extensive and fast-moving with powerful climax and a well thought-out plot. It is compelling to watch for the development of events in the film. Actions are vivid and exhilarating. Also my attention attracts sensational sound effects and agreeable music.

I recommend this film to people who are interested in art or connect with it. Also to people who like to see film in criminal theme and social problems, politician relationships between countries and people who are in these countries.

The Last Supper

One of the most famous works of Leonardo is the fresco “The Last Supper”, written on the wall in the refectory of the convent of Santa Maria in 1495-1497. In the background of the picture was put the Gospel story of the last secret meeting of Christ with his disciples. It is a historical painting and I think that it’s a real masterpiece. In this work, Leonardo showed himself not only as an artist but also as a subtle psychologist, expert of human characters. He combines form and colour into harmonious unity. The artist may have put the purpose through the reaction of different people to reveal the eternal questions of humanity: love and hate, loyalty and treachery, nobility and meanness. Growth of emotion and dynamics of movements occur in groups Apostles towards the center of the painting – Christ. Colours of people clothes were picked up by an artist in such a way that the power of color gradually increases toward the center, underlining the significance of the figure of Christ, shown in light blue background scenery outside the window. Art  for da Vinci – one of the many varieties of research, experience and  knowledge.

Why I want to have a cat as a pet?

If I could have a pet I would choose cat because this animal has a magic talent. Cat can treat with the help of its purr. It looks very cute, funny and smart animal. Many cats understand when we swear them and feel their fault. It is a fantastic animal which also can effects my mood and makes me feel better and more energetic. Cats are very fluffy creations. Their fur is wonderful. I like to pet it because I feel more calm and relaxed. It is interesting to watch this animal especially when it is angry, disappointed or irritated it begins to move its tail in different directions. Also the have whiskers and claws which are the important part of their body. resize

How does the weather effect my mood?

The weather has a profound effect on our mood. Really if the weather is bad,  I feel  bad mood too, but if the sun is shining, the birds are singing, I feel  well enough. This is probably due to the colors that correspond to varying weather conditions. When the weather is bad all around is gray. And when the weather is good, all so beautiful and colorful. This affects the mood. For example in a dreary, cold, rainy day I feel moody, restless, nervous, dejected, depressed. I don’t  want to do anything, I feel exhausted. All that I want to do is just to sleep a lot and watch TV. But if the weather is good I feel better, confident, cheerful and optimistic. When the weather is cold and there is a strong wind this makes me thrilled and touchy. There are situations when I must go outside no matter what the weather and the mood.

Person who plays the important role in my life

She is my friend. It seems to me that I know her almost all my life. When I met her she comes across as kind-hearted and outgoing person, a girl who hasn’t fear. She is a brunette with small green eyes and has a piercing and friendly look. Since school she dreamed about jump with a parachute.  She fond of sport, she likes run a lot. With the help of the sport she looks very slim and well-balanced.  My friend is a kind of people who always achieve their purpose and never give up. She is a very communicative and has lots of interests and plans as for the future. What I really like about her character is sincerity and kindness. I can always ask her for help.
