Gravity is a story about astronauts in outer space, the wreck of the spaceship and their attempts to survive. To do this sometimes they need to let off, sometimes they must snatch out their life out of death’s jaws. The film is about psychological struggle, desire to live. After the explosion of a Russian satellite, the spacecraft of our heroes receives significant damage that eliminates possibility of further flight and return to earth. Then there is a struggle of the space debris with human weaknesses and fears. Fortunately, film has a happy ending that is very important for us, simple audience.

The film raises the spiritual themes: the person’s inner struggle whether to fight and survive or to give up and die, love to children, the necessity of mutual aid. The inner strength and instability of life may be seen as the key theme of the movie. We can also notice the religious themes in the film. Ryan Stone says that her dead daughter is an angel for her, Dr. Stone also asks the deceased Matt Kowalski to tell her daughter that mother loves her and is proud of her child. Ryan Stone in her most difficult moments communicates with her daughter, who is on heaven. The presence of attributes of faith such the statue of Budai, the St. Christopher icon also tells us about the fact of believing in Upper Virtues. One of the main themes is the evolution of person and humankind at all. When Dr. Ryan feels deep sad and despair, she takes an embryonic position (as the most impenetrable and comfortable, like in the womb). When she finally came back to the Earth, she crawled out to the shore as a reptile in the beginning of human evolution.

This film is definitely worth seeing! It is spine-tingling and nail-biting. I was on the edge of my seat during all these 90 minutes. The powerful climax is everywhere in this film, from the first minutes to the last moments I had any guess about what would happen in a minute later. Film has a star cast, brilliant acting, many twists and marvelous views of space. It is memorable and absorbing film.

I recommend it to everyone who can feel and share. It doesn’t matter if you are 6 or 66-year-old. You will definitely enjoy it.
